Description East Attica
In Eastern Attica we meet the regions Voula, Vouliagmeni, Vari and Saronida
that constitute seasonal resorts and Athenian suburbs, where the idyllic beach
of Varkiza and the Lake of Vouliagmeni that it is offered for thermal spas and
recreation, give a separate picture in the region. Important are the historical
and archaeological monuments of the region as the cape of Sounio, where we
deserve to see the Temple of Athina and the Temple of Poseidon.
Appreciable
are also the coastal regions of Agios Konstantinos, Keratea, Markopoulo,
Porto-Rafti and Schinia. In the city of Rafina is found the second important
harbor of Athens, while we meet in the north meet the city of Nea Makri with the
separate landscape as well as the historical city of Marathonas where in 490
b.C. it became the eminent battle against Persians.
