The city of Chalkida
Chalkida is the capital of the prefecture of Evia and is 81km from Athens which makes it an ideal destination for long or short vacations all the year. Divided in two since one part of her is in the island of Evia and the other one in the Central Greece, Chalkida is built on both sides of the well known, for the tidal phenomenon, Strait of Evripos.
Karystos
Karystos located in the southern part of the island of Evia. Karystos founded by Dryopes, sourced from Parnassus and is one of the ancient Greek cities with great history.
Its name is said comes from the many walnut and chestnut trees, forming a forest on the slopes of Ochi. Of course there are other versions about the origin of her name as that the name has came from Karystos, son of the Centaur Chiron and Chariklous or son of Kronos (Saturn) and Philyra.
Limni of Evia
The settlement of the Limni is built is the North Evian Gulf, near the ancient city Elymnio. It is located 85km. from Chalkida and has approximately 2100 inhabitants.
